My name is Jakob Pek and I am an artist based here in the Bay Area.
You know, I used to be deeply burdened by depression, anxiety and the state of the world. It was very hard to see things in a more joyous light.
But as I grew as a person, I understood that I could renew, uplift and enliven my mind and its perceptions.
I paint because it helps me to find beauty and peace hiding amidst the more troubling and tragic elements of our world.
My works are abstract, improvisational journeys into and out of the creative unconscious.
They explore chance, indeterminacy, synchronicity... they are dynamic moments of spontaneous creation, frozen in time.
There's nothing like a unique piece of artwork on your wall.
The right painting can serve as a window into contemplation, inspiration and creativity, all while enlivening a room with that elusive spark of the creative spirit.
I have a vast selection of pieces available, both large and small, that can compliment and inspire your home, office or living room.
